About us

Our Story

My name is Suzanne and I’m the mother of three teens: Alexandra, Samuel, and Benjamin. I was raised on a small cattle farm. Although I left the farm and worked several jobs here and there, I always dreamed of having my own farm one day. In 2016 I came back to the area to build on my parents’ farmland, along with my three kids and three alpacas. My dream was becoming a reality. In the fall of 2017 I met my partner, Marc, who was quick to fall in love with the alpacas too. Marc also has a daughter, Zoey. Both Marc and I have full-time jobs, but we work together on the farm and in the shop. Our happy herd has grown to 24 alpacas, several goats, chickens, and honey-bee hives.

The summer of 2020 was my 8th season at the Ayer’s Cliff farmer’s market and I’ve been taking part in the Christmas Market for several years. I make soy candles, beeswax candles, and goat milk soap. Our shop also carries alpaca fibre products, and we’ve added honey to our inventory since we installed our hives. Marc is a woodworker and weaver: he crafts small pieces of furniture, soap dishes, woven textiles, and more. We love to make things! We’re working towards an even greater variety of products in our store, and plan on becoming more autonomous in the production of alpaca products by doing the shearing and fibre processing ourselves.

Libby Mill Alpaca

Our name comes from the fact that my father used to own a wood mill where the farm is now; and long ago, this area was known as Libby Town … So we called it Libby Mill!

Why alpacas?
